Ching given player-assistant coach role with Dynamo: Brian Ching, Houston Dynamo; Osvaldo Alonso, Seattle Sounders FC; MLS
The veteran striker elected to return to the playing field instead of retiring in 2013, but he will also handle duties as an assistant coach on Dominic Kinnear's staff.
